Induction and Installation

On September 13, 2002 new board of directors for lionistic
year 2002-2003 was installed by District Governor PMJF Lion
Engineer Ram Bhandari Chhetri amidst a colourfull function
organized in Hotel Shanker. On the function Immediate Past
District Governor Lion Dr. Jyoti Serchan, Past Council Chairman
Lion Pankaj Pradhan and Vice District Governor Lion Rubaya Nath
Koirala were also present.
On the same funtion four new members Dhruba
Tripathi, Mani Ram Gautam, Kamala Tamang and Shanker Pradhan were
inducted. Congratulation! new members. |

| Eye Camp
On May 17 - 20, our club organized an eye camp in
Sarswornath village of Sirha district. In the camp 600 patients
were checked and 88 cataract surgeries was
done.
Relief Material to Landslide Victims
On August 13,2002 some relief material like blankets,
tents, utensils and rice were distributed to 70 families of Kabhre
district those who are affected by landslide.

She goats Distribution under scholarship
program
Shegoats distribution program is most popular program in our area. Under this program one pair of goats are provided to poor and intelligents students. Parents of the student receive this and income generated by this is expended for the study. Each year shegoats are distributed. This year twenty eight she goats were handed over to 14 students of five different government school of Shankhu
village.
Computer for School
To enhance computer education in village schools, computers
were donated to Shankheswori Secondary school of Sankhu
village. |
Blood Donation : Each year we organize volunteer blood donation
program. Our club members and local people donated blood. This year we donate 52 pint blood in blood bank.
| Tree Plantation
During this year seven hundred different varieties of saplingwas planted in Bagmati river bank.
World Lions Service Day
World Lions Service Day was observed by distributing fruits
to the patients of Bhaktapur Hospital and Bhaktapur Cancer Care
Centre

International Relation
Kabhre Shankhu Lions Club is trying to establish inter club
relationship around the world. Our Immediate Past President is now in USA. Recently she has visited Lions Club of Florida Palm Beach
Garden and attended its regular meeting.
Stitching Training
Three month duration stitching training was conducted in
Shankhu. Thirty five women successfully completed the
training |
